An American Martyr For Christ
Charlie Kirk, 31, was murdered this afternoon while speaking at a college in Utah. He was a bold man of God who led many to faith in Jesus. He was also a husband and father.
I do not personally know Mr. Kirk. Nor do I know any of his family. He is one of a number of names I recognize who has been standing strong for our nation to be restored.
Yet even though he and I have never met, his death hits deep. He is a brother in Christ, and he has been murdered for his faith. There really aren't words for what my spirit knows at this time. Some things defy verbal expression.
Tomorrow is the anniversary of 9-11. This feels very much like then. There is a knowing in the depth of my being that can't be explained. It's been there all day. I don't know what, yet at the same time I know exactly. I just don't have the words. It's too deep for mere human vocabulary.
From that place of deep stillness a prayer whispers loud: May the death of Charlie Kirk wake us all up and cause us to speak boldly in the name of Jesus Who is Truth. May the light of Truth shine brightly exposing evil. May the voice of Love be louder than that of hate. May this be the time the people unite as one, and may the followers of Christ be the Body of Love we were created to be. May Mr. Kirk's family be wrapped in the peace of God and surrounded with the comfort of God Holy Spirit.
It's a Turning Point brothers and sisters.
In the name of Jesus Christ our Lord,
Shalom
