Know the Word & Know it Well
Many voices are speaking about the difference in life before 2020 and after 2020. There is a rarely mentioned reality that isn’t being discussed much though. Christians have been praying for change in our nation as long as I can remember. For decades believers in Jesus have been gathering in prayer and interceding on behalf of the nation. Decades. When listening to some conversations among believers it seems as if it has been overlooked that In order for a new order to be established a former one must be removed. Removal and replacement of operating systems is not without mess. We know this, right? Please tell me that all of the lessons and sessions that have been taught and preached in churches throughout the nation over the years have not been forgotten. Every word of the Bible is just as true now as my Sunday School teachers, children’s church leaders, youth leaders, pastors, evangelists, missionaries, and every other minister through the years said it was. Every single word. God heals. He is faithful. He keeps. He saves, delivers, sets free, and renews. Nothing that matters has gone away. Jesus is still the same yesterday, today, and forever. Every promise He has given is as solid and sure as it was decades ago. Every miracle is just as possible today as yesteryear. Holy Spirit fills full to overflowing and comforts now as He did then. Every answer is still in the Bible. We will find if we seek, knock, and ask. We are protected in the secret place as thoroughly now as when the words of Psalm 91 were written. God still gives His angels charge over us to keep us in all of ways of obedience and service. Mercy still triumphs over judgment. His mercies are still new every morning. Great is His faithfulness. There is nothing happening Our Heavenly Father has not already completely provided for. Nothing. The enemy has no more power than he has ever had. The enemy is just as defeated as he was when Christ defeated him. Jesus took the keys. He made a public spectacle of them. Jesus Is Lord!!! Christians have as much reason to celebrate and rejoice in the Lord for He is good as we ever have had. We have as many reasons to sing to the Lord our Maker. For He is still good and always will be. He still delights over us with singing. He still orders our steps and leads us by still waters. He still prepares a table before us in the presence of our enemies. The question that begs asking is: what are we doing for Him? How are we praising Him? Are we worshipping Him? Are we living our lives as a sacrifice of praise? Are we sacrificing praise or are we whining about what He isn’t doing that we want Him to? Are we living as true disciples? Do we ask ourselves these type of questions and take stock of our heart’s condition? Wherever we are, whatever we do, may it all be to the glory of God. For He has done great things and He alone is worthy. May we read the Word of God, learn it, know it, and live it in its entirety. May we truly live the Lord our God with ALL. In Christ alone, love to each and everyone, Shalom dear reader, Shalom Sent from my iPhone
