Choose Life
And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work.
2 Corinthians 9:8
It is time to believe the Word of God, ALL of it, EVERY word. No matter how things look and/or feel, it is time to choose Jesus. It is time to choose Life.
If ever I would encourage people to introduce themselves to Jesus and begin a close relationship with Him, it is now. Not from a posture of fear, however. Oh no, never fear, from faith. For he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him. Without faith it is impossible to please Him. Anything done without faith is sin. (See Hebrews 11:6 and Romans 14:23b) This is our victory that overcomes the world even our faith. (1 John 5:4)
Every choice we make is either a love choice or a fear choice. When we act and when we speak we are being motivated by fear or love. Faith choices are love choices because according to 1 John 4:8, God IS love. Fear and love are not friends. They do NOT get along. With so many opportunities to choose fear, the decision to choose love stand out in sharp contrast. Choosing love over fear feels like an overcoming act of defiance against darkness and evil.
The difference between a person of love and a person of fear is noticeable. There is an inner strength and peace in the person of love that cannot be replicated by human efforts or striving. The world has always needed people of love to shine the Light that drives out the darkness. Today the Light of the World, Jesus, shining from out of His children brings the healing and salvation many are crying out for.
Now is the time. The people of God have been created and place in the earth for exactly such a time as this. We have read the account of Esther, heard about the victory of David over the giant Goliath, marched when singing about the children of Israel crossing the Red Sea. Our hearts have thrilled at the telling of how the three Hebrew children came out of the fire not even smelling like smoke. Now it is our turn to be bold, stand strong, and choose the LORD.
NOW is when we remember the stories, the testimonies, the songs, put our armor on according to Ephesians 6:11-17, look the "Philistines" of our day in the eye demanding to know who these uncircumcised Philistines are that they should defy the armies of the living God while declaring our God will save us, but if He doesn't, we still won't bow down to pagan idols and deities. Knowing fully that we have without a doubt been placed here for just such a time as this. We are those soldiers of Emmanuel, and we are going forward in HIS name lifting high HIS banner until the world will own Him King.
Yes, we are in the world, but dear brothers and sisters, WE ARE NOT OF IT. We were not born to get comfortable, settle in, and retire from living a life fully devoted to Christ just taking up space until we leave this earth. We were created and born to occupy the places we have been placed in by God, live, and continue living in such a way that every thing we say and do is done to the glory of God. (1 Corinthians 10:31)
God created us to do good works that He prepared in advance for us to do. We are created, designed, and placed in this earth to live fully until we are taken home to Heaven. There is no retirement from ministering the love of God in the Kingdom of God. There is joy unspeakable and full of glory, victory in Jesus, healing, salvation, righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit. That is the Kingdom of God, and the Kingdom is within us. (Romans 14:7, Luke 17:21) Onward, ever onward loving as we have been loved by God.
There is a rallying cry being uttered throughout the Body of Christ right now. Can you hear it? Do you feel the surging of your heart as it strains forward in devotion to the King of Kings and Lord of Lords? Your spirit knows the King is coming and yearns to rise and conquer in His name. Banish fear! Greater is He Who is in you than he who is in the world. If God be for you who can be against you? What can man do to me? (1 John 4:4, Psalm 118:6, Hebrews 13:6, Psalm 56:11)
The time is here, and it is now. When Jesus returns may He find faith. May He find the saints faithfully about the Father's business. May He find us on our knees in intercession, reaching out our hands to heal, opening our mouths with words of life and hope, and preparing nourishing food to feed both the body and soul of those who are longing for His love. May the warriors of Christ be demolishing fear with faith-filled declarations of God's Word. And may the children of the Most High God, His Bride, remember Whose they are as they love Him with ALL of their heart, soul, mind, and strength by faithfully carrying out His instructions and living His ways of doing and being right.
It is time to choose. He has set before us this day life and death. Choose life. Choose this day whom you will serve. Jesus. He is LORD!!!
May the blessing of the Lord be upon you. Rest in the Lord. Be of courage. He will strengthen your heart. Be still and know that He is God. Jesus shared the following words with us before returning to Heaven:
"These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world."
John 16:33
He has overcome the world. Take courage, dear ones, He has overcome. In Him there is peace. In Him, in Christ Jesus our Lord, that is the place to be. Choosing to be in Him is choosing Life and life more abundantly.
Rejoicing in His life more abundant,
Shalom
