Hearing and Speaking Forth

There is a sense that I am to write to you, but I confess I don't know exactly what it is I am to write. Thoughts swirl inside my head as the dust swirls in the late afternoon heat of summer. The third and fourth months of this year were a beautiful sabbath of rest and healing, even in the midst of the world's chaos. This month though is different. The atmosphere is charged with expectancy; yet there is also something else, something different, something new, something with the potential to be both wonderful and awful, something that requires focused obedience. Here are some of the words that have been heard:

NOW. THE TIME IS NOW.
FOR SUCH A TIME AS THIS.
WAKE UP OH SLEEPER.
PUT ON YOUR ARMOR.
TAKE EVERY THOUGHT CAPTIVE TO THE OBEDIENCE OF JESUS CHRIST.
GIVE THANKS TO THE LORD FOR HE IS GOOD.
KNOW THIS THAT THE LORD YOUR GOD IS ONE GOD.
JESUS CHRIST IS LORD OF ALL.
HIS YOKE IS EASY HIS BURDEN IS LIGHT.
GOD'S GOODNESS ALWAYS. ALWAYS GOD'S GOODNESS.
NO WEAPON FORMED AGAINST ME SHALL PROSPER.
BE EXCELLENT AT WHAT IS GOOD. BE INNOCENT OF EVIL.
HE WHO DWELLS IN THE SECRET PLACE OF THE MOST HIGH SHALL ABIDE IN THE SHADOW OF THE ALMIGHTY.
HIS THOUGHTS AND WAYS ARE HIGHER THAN MY THOUGHTS AND WAYS.
SEEK FIRST THE KINGDOM OF GOD AND HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS.
FORGET NOT. REMEMBER HIS GOODNESS.
