I Wish I Had Stocked Up on This
When preparing my yearly stock up list, or putting away Christmas decorations, it seems I consistently miss putting something away. It crossed my mind I might not be the only person this happens to. Just in case, I'm jotting a few things down for consideration when preparing. These are items that seem to be easy to overlook and tend to miss the list. Hope it helps!
*Hint: Consider items used so often we don't even think about them such as deodorant or toothpaste as well as items that are almost vitally important but not used every day like birthday candles and specific food items or ingredients eaten only at special times throughout the year. Items will vary from family to family based on ages, home life, and interests.
- Notes in my daily/household journal containing eye prescriptions, favorite brands of supplements, where important documents such as birth certificates are kept (Anyone who has moved multiple times knows this is a valid thing.), along with all of the other details that make family life flow smoothly.
- Printer ink (A note in a household journal with the number of ink needed is very helpful.)
- Printer paper
- Notebook paper
- Empty journals
- Pencils
- Pens (Make sure you know which kind individual household members prefer. Some people view such details as essential.)
- Thank you cards
- Special occasion cards to send family and friends
- Get well and sympathy cards to send
- Assorted stationery items
- First aid supplies
- Art supplies
- Favorite tea, coffee, and/or hot cocoa
- Flavorings and extracts
- Paper goods for birthdays and other special events
- Supplies for making and creating gifts, if applicable
- Business supplies such as file folders, envelopes (various sizes), storage boxes, tape, etc.
- Wrapping paper, gift bags, and other gift-giving supplies
- A variety of adhesives for all of the household uses
- Toothbrushes, don't know why, but these are easy to forget.
- Deodorant, this too is easy to overlook.
- Feminine hygiene products
- Contact supplies
- Supplies for decorating or making special days fun
- Good scissors!!! These are a definite MUST that are easy to overlook.
- Storage containers for a variety of items. (i.e. outgrown children's clothing, documents, important papers, keepsakes, memorabilia)
- Any items, whether food stuffs or other, that is important but not used daily
