Mouth Watering Goodness

PLEASE NOTE, the following recipe is neither healthy nor is it economical. It is however tastebud satisfying goodness in every bite. Basically, this is a Scotcharoo with the rice cereal switched out for Frito's Scoops. Oh yeah, sweet and salty perfection right here. These little treats are so yummy that Horsegirl has requested them for her "birthday cake" next Monday. Candles might be tricky, but we'll figure out something.

CHOCOLATE CARAMEL FRITOS
Ingredients:
  • 1 1/2 C. sugar
  • 1 1/2 C. corn syrup
  • 1 1/2 C. peanut butter - chunky
  • 2 pkg. bags Fritos Scoops
  • 6 oz. chocolate chips - milk chocolate
  • 6 oz. butterscotch chips
Directions:

  • Arrange Frito's on 2 large cookie sheets lined with waxed paper.
  • Boil sugar, corn syrup stirring constantly for 5 minutes.
  • Remove from heat, add peanut butter.
  • Drizzle over Fritos.
  • Melt chocolate chips and butterscotch chips.
  • Drizzle over caramel on fritos.
  • Chill and pull apart.
  • Can be stored in large Tupperware container. Separate layers with waxed paper.
