We Need Each Other

Today was the day I go into town for a First Place 4 Health meeting.  Every Wednesday for seven weeks I've been getting together with a group of ladies as we learn to live balanced, complete lives.  The memory verse for last week's study was Romans 12:2, I'm using the Amplified Version "Do not be conformed to this world (this age), [fashioned after and adapted to its external, superficil customs], but be transformed (changed) by the [entire] renewal of your mind [by its new ideals and its new attitude], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God, even the thing which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His sight] for you." Wanting to think on that verse some more, I looked it up after arriving back home. In order to obtain a more thorough understanding of the verse, I read the verse preceding it and those following it.  What a surprise I discovered!

Verse one of Romans chapter 12 speaks of offering our bodies as a living sacrifice.  Isn't God good?  He knew that the only way we could accomplish this was to experience a total transformation and renewing of our minds as verse two states.  The greatest surprise came as I read on further in chapter 12.  During our meeting today, the discussion had touched on what a comforting, powerful bond developes between those who study the Word of God together; how we need each other.  OK, listen to verse 5 now, "So we, numerous as we are, are one body in Christ (the Messiah) and individually we are parts one of another [mutually dependent on one another]."  Most, if not everything, that our study touched on today is in this one chapter of Romans! God is so good!  Everything He brings about in our lives is perfectly orchestrated, right down to the littlest detail.

I am so very blessed to be His child.  I pray that as we make a decisive dedication of our bodies we will immerse ourselves in the knowledge of His immeasurable love and care.

The recipe booklets are being typed up and will be mailed out within the month.  Don't forget to include your mailing address with your comments so that we know where to send them.
