Overflow of New Ideas

Have you quit laughing from the past two posts yet? I don't know about you, but I needed to laugh like that, even if it was at myself. God blesses us in the perfect way every time. I am so thankful for His tender-loving care.

Occasionally ideas shared on A Mother's Rewards and our sister site, Living Large on Less, overlap; especially on topics like gardening, cooking, and preserving the harvest. Wednesday morning, Not of This World, administrator at Living Large on Less shared a great article on canning dried beans Living Large on Less: Canning! I would like to pass on. This is definitely an article you won't want to miss. Not of This World has some future posts planned on canning Beef Stew and putting potatoes by in the freezer. I can't wait until they come out. You will be blessed over and over again with usable information to help you bless your friends and family and save money too.

The sights, smells, and sounds of Fall are all around! Here at A Mother's Rewards we got out the "Fall Box" and began decorating our home for the Autumn Harvest Season. Every year around this time we pull out the "Fall Box" and lovingly place colorful ears of Indian Corn, rubbery bunches of grapes, candles shaped like pumpkins and leaves, and other autumn looking decorations around our home. Every room gets at least one reminder to be Thankful for the abundant harvest season.

The decorations that are pulled out of our Autumn Box aren't costly or lavish. As a matter of fact, some are beginning to bear testimony to all the years little fingers have "loved" on them. No matter how shabby or "loved" our treasures become, the sight of them stirs up a spirit of celebration in our hearts. Nothing can take the joy of this treasured season from us.

Our bank account balance can't diminish or increase the wonder of Thankfulness either. Many an Autumn has been spent in what most would term as lack. Many an opportunity to trust in the Lord for His perfect provision has come during the Fall season. Yet through every season, our hearts have delighted to celebrate the Lord's care and harvest. I guess you could say it's a tradition.

As we travel through yet another Autumn I pray that our hearts thrill with the celebration of God's abundant Harvest in our lives. He is a good God! His care of us is perfect and He is worthy of our praise!
